Member of the advisory board

"Many political decisions have an effect on Children and young people. Unfortunately, young people are far too seldom and far too little allowed to participate in decision-making. That is why the participation of children and young people is an urgent duty.  Political participation as a crucial element of a living democracy must be tangible and experienced for girls and boys at an early age. Youth parliaments offer an opportunity to have a say, to get involved and to help shape. This is an excellent opportunity to get young people excited about politics and to strengthen our democracy."

Anja Reinalter is a professor at the Kempten university. Here she teaches social work with the emphasis on working with the youth. The former teacher, who worked in a large vocational school center, holds a doctorate in education and knows how important it is to motivate young people concerning political issues. As a city and district councilor, she advocates the concerns of young people. In 2011 she was awarded the Helene Weber Prize for her commitment to local politics. As first chairman of the state women's council BaWü and as spokeswoman for women's policy in the state board of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, Anja Reinalter stands for opportunities, gender equality and for an open society.
