Svenja Stadler, MdB

Svenja Stadler MdB, born in Oldenburg in 1976, has represented the district of Harburg in the German Bundestag since 2013.
From 2013 to 2021, she was a member of the Committee for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, as well as the Subcommittee on Civic Engagement. From 2017 to 2021, she was spokesperson for the SPD working group on civic engagement and was responsible for the budget of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth in the Budget Committee.
In the current 20th legislative period, Ms. Stadler continues to be a member of the Budget Committee. She is the rapporteur for the budget of the Ministry of Health. In an honorary capacity, she represents, among other things, the German Mothers' Convalescence Association as Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees and is Chairwoman of the AWO Parliamentary Group.
Ms. Stadler has contributed extensively to position papers on civic engagement and has been a very successful advocate for animal welfare in the Budget Committee.
