"If you want to be active in your political ideals, you should have opportunities to participate at any age."

Shortly after I moved to Germany at the age of 14, I realized that I was not satisfied with many political developments. At the same time, it wasn't enough for me to just point out existing problems, so I wanted to help advance better alternatives myself by joining Bündnis 90/Grünen. In line with this goal, I worked for a year as a volunteer for the Green parliamentary group in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament after graduating from high school. Since then, I have been pursuing a degree in economics, first in my Bachelor's at WHU and Nova SBE and now in my Master's at LSE.

During my involvement with the Green Youth, I realized that working for political ideals is possible and meaningful at any age. At the same time, it would be good to have more opportunities for this as a young person* beyond party political involvement and to be able to make your voice heard more easily. I hope to be able to make a contribution to this with the Youth Parliament initiative.
